Jesse McCartney plans a summer music tour

All My Children alum Jesse McCartney (ex-J.R. Chandler) is hitting the road this summer with his Better With You tour.

In a coincidence that would make everyone from Pine Valley elites to backwoods Pigeon Hollow residents scratch their heads in awe, both former J.R.s from All My Children are going on tour this summer.

Hot on the heels of Jacob Young (Rick Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-J.R. Chandler) announcing that he's planning on bringing his music to fans across the nation in the months ahead comes word that the AMC character's other former portrayer, Jesse McCartney, is embarking on his Better With You music tour.

McCartney was thrilled to announce his news on social media, writing: "Pumped to announce the BETTER WITH YOU U.S. TOUR! There'll be pre-sale and VIP add-on opportunities! General tickets go on sale on Friday at 10! See you soon! LET'S GO!!! #BetterWithYouTour"

Interestingly enough, both Young and McCartney mirrored each other once this year already. Back in March, both actors-turned-musicians released new music in the same week.

McCartney's AMC journey as Adam Chandler and Dixie Cooney's son began in 1998. Before leaving the ABC soap opera in 2001, the actor rose to fame as part of the boy band Dream Street and later went on to establish a career as a solo musical artist. He has released several albums, including Beautiful Soul, Right Where You Want Me, Departure, and In Technicolor.

Young took on the role of J.R. in 2003 and played the character until 2011. He landed the role of The Bold and the Beautiful's Rick Forrester soon after and currently plays the role on a recurring basis while chasing a career as a country musician. To listen to his new song Fool for You, head to Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, or Pandora.

What do you think about both McCartney and Young heading out on tour this summer at the same time? Which actor do you most equate with the role of AMC's J.R.?
