Days of our Lives has two new stars joining its cast. Does that mean more Hernandez siblings are arriving?

Days of our Lives just dropped a mysterious bit of casting news that leaves fans wondering if Gabi Hernandez will soon be freed from Statesville, where she's been lingering since she was accused of killing Li Shin last fall.

According to an Instagram post, Cherie Jimenez and Al Calderon will soon make their DAYS debuts.

"We're seeing some newcomers in Salem! Meet Cherie Jimenez and Al Calderon - Hmmmm, who could they be?!?" the post read. It was accompanied by a photo of both performers in what appears to be the Hernandez house kitchen, where Rafe Hernandez currently lives.

According to IMDb, Jimenez has had a number of episodic television roles on shows like Banshee, Pretty Little Liars, and NCIS. Calderon has been seen in various films, including He's All That, Hello Again, and Stealing Cars.

Camila Banus left the role of Gabi last fall after playing Rafe's vixenish younger sister since 2010. That's when Gabi was found with a bloody knife over her ex-husband's body. Days later, she was in Statesville and has been there ever since, while husband Stefan has tried to get her out. His efforts landed him behind bars, as well.

Some fans are speculating that Calderon could be playing Rafe and Gabi's brother, Dario Hernandez, who was last played by soap vet Jordi Vilasuso. Dario has not been seen in Salem since 2017. Francisco San Martin originated the role in 2011.

There's no word yet on when these two actors will appear on your screen, but Soap Central will keep you updated as more news breaks.
