General Hospital fans are about to get another double dose of Benard talent. Joshua Benard, son of longtime Port Charles staple Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), is heading back to the ABC soap opera as Joss's classmate, Adam.

Fans who loved seeing Maurice Benard's (Sonny Corinthos) son, Joshua Benard, in his scenes as Adam earlier this month will be happy to know that the young actor is returning to Port Charles!

Maurice Benard shared the news of his son's GH return during a Good Morning America appearance (clip below), and a rep from the drama series confirms that yes, Joshua has filmed more scenes as Adam that will be airing this spring.

Joshua made his first appearance on GH four years ago during his dad's 25th anniversary as Sonny. The celebratory episode was a "what-if" scenario that showed what Sonny's life would have been like if he'd chosen to be a law-abiding citizen instead of becoming a mob boss; Joshua played a young version of Sonny in flashback scenes.

The young actor returned on March 16 as a student named Adam, whom Josslyn (Eden McCoy) called to help her study for chemistry midterms. The teens got into a tense conversation when Adam made a joke about the sex tape of Joss and Cameron (William Lipton) that's circulating, and Joss eventually forced Adam to scram by threatening to punch him.

There's no word yet when Joshua will be back on-screen, nor has the ABC soap opera given any information as to what the writers have penned for Adam; will Joss make good on her threat to wallop the character? Keep watching GH to find out!

Joshua's prior credits include Station 19, the short film Boys of a Certain Age, and playing a younger version of his father's character, Joshua, in the 2017 film The Ghost and the Whale.
